Perhaps he meant the Jєωιѕн men were just using the question as an opening for a  pick-up line and your "mistake" was to assume it was just a casual question.

It isn't common for SS, that's why it is "funny" / tacitly unusual. 

The thing to do is to determine what the change was but, wow, this really doesn't call for "Nancy Drew".

DZ, cryptic wasn't meant to be an insult, just an observation as I do find many of your posts hard to follow. Sorry, no offense intended.

If I take truth as an insult, then that's my problem ma'am; you're fine, thank you.

Now, if you were lying, that would be different; but why would someone lie about that? It makes little sense in your case.

I am ethnically European and most the women in the surrounding neighborhood do not dress modest (pants, shorts, tank tops, etc), so it would make sense for the Jєωιѕн men to mistake me for a Jєωess.

In a multicultural city, you have all kinds of neighborhoods. Sometimes I shop close to a neighborhood where there is a lot of Jєωιѕн people so I am bound to run into a Jєωιѕн person on the street. I just think it is funny that the Jєωιѕн people think I am one of them whenever I am close to their neighborhood because I dress modestly and many people in our multicultural city do not dress very modestly. I also think it is funny that this incident has happened 3 times in one month and I just wanted to share the experience with the Cathinfo community.

What is interesting is that the Jєωιѕн women who dress modestly are the orthodox, and those women wear wigs in public(or perhaps handkerchiefs like bandannas).  They are I would think supposed to be easily identifiable similar to how their men are.  The non orthodox Jєωιѕн women are totally not modest.  They are the leaders of the feminist immodest movement.  So, that means these men were more orthodox men.  And, that means, if I were you, I would not take this so lightly, especially due to the fact it has been happening so often.  It may be something to be alarmed by.  The orthodox are the ones who are not ignorant of the fact that they are perpetual christ killers.

While there's no need to be alarmist either, yeah basically.

Also note that, culturally let alone religiously, they operate collectively as a rule.
