In defense of men, this could have been a "woman's studies" course.

Useless education with jobs provided by affirmative action.

Not much benefit for men.

Yes. "Conservative" Fox news had a report that stated the recession was hitting men harder than women and a higher rate of men were suffering unemployment. Instead of lamenting this fact, the "enlightened" reporter immediately remarked how women were still making less than men. Shepard Smith, who could barely read his Teleprompter without botching words, then chimed in that men had screwed things up so bad, time to give women a chance.

Consider:

1.) These men losing their jobs often have families to support.  A majority of women who work are not sole providers. They merely supplement the husband's income, often to maintain an unneccessary standard of living while they outsource child rearing to the state or strangers.

2.) The old feminist canard that men earn more than women is a lie. When you compare what women and men earn for the exact same job with the exact same background it is almost identical. What they do is total all men's salaries and get an an average and then do the same for women.  They compare apples to oranges. Of course women's salaries are lower because, on average they avoid hard sciences and go into lower paying humanities professions or schoolteaching. Many do this precisely because they plan to get married and don't need to earn a big salary.

So while sole male breadwinners are laid off and can't find work to feed their families, jobs they could have taken are filled either by single career women, wives earning a second income to keep up with the Jones', and, of course, illegal aliens.

Meanwhile so much free money is being given to go to college it inflates college tuition. Also everyone goes to college so the value of a college diploma is cheapened. Women who go on to grad school or invest time and money pursuing an advanced degree like medicine or law are reluctant to "throw away" their lucrative careers to have children. And if they do it is off to daycare they go!

Our "free market" liberal economy with absolutely no regard for man's proper end, is doomed to failure and will probably result in an even worse socialism. Our nation is overdosing on greed and lust while its conscience is dulled on the anesthesia of bread and circus that is our modern day entertainments. This truly is the Devil's Final Battle.
