  • I am assisting fellow Catholics, who are trying to close a brothel that has opened on their street. We held a meeting today and on Saturday the rosary will be recited. It has been recited in reparation since the den of sin opened.

The landlord of the property doesn't seem to care once he is getting rent for the property. He has been made aware of what the ladies are doing.Non Irish women, who have set up business.

The civil authorities have been informed also.

    Prayers are certainly appreciated.

  • John,

Maybe you can try to place a Green Scapular and a Miraculous Medal on the property?

And holy water and blessed St. Benedict medals too.  Blessed salt around the perimeter of the property?

  • My Rosary intention will be for this on Saturday. God bless you for your efforts!

Are these ladies specially imported and made to work under duress? This seems quite common and difficult to escape. Do you have communications with any of them?

This was the early work of the Legion of Mary, I think. The Rosary is definitely the way to go... and the sacramentals.

  • Nadir brings up a good point, are ladies eligible for any kind of assistance? Perhaps the chapel there could try to raise money for them to live somewhere else and help them find  other work.

  • Are brothels allowed to open and operate legally in Ireland?  I am shocked if so.

    Legal status

Prostitution itself is not an offence under Irish law. However, the Criminal Law (sɛҳuąƖ Offences) Act of 1993 prohibits soliciting or importuning another person in a street or public place for the purpose of prostitution (this offence applies to prostitute and client). It also prohibits loitering for the purpose of prostitution, organizing prostitution by controlling or directing the activities of a person in prostitution, coercing one to practice prostitution for gain, living on earnings of the prostitution of another person, and keeping a brothel or other premises for the purpose of prostitution. Advertising brothels and prostitution is prohibited by the Criminal Justice (Public Order) Act of 1994. The minimum legal age for a prostitute in Ireland is 18 years (child prostitution legislation exists to protect persons under this age). The Criminal Law (Trafficking in Persons and sɛҳuąƖ Offences) Bill 2006 came into force making trafficking in persons for the purpose of their sɛҳuąƖ exploitation a specific offence, though previous legislation already covered much of this area

I haven't communicated with them. I was only made aware of it on Tuesday though well aware of the problem with prostitution in that city. It's mainly foreign girls, who are being brought in to Ireland by criminal gangs.

I'm not sure how active the Legion of Mary is there but Frank Duff and the Legion did great work.

I will get an update on Saturday. I will make suggestions to those who asked me to assist them.

  • An organisation that works with prostitutes is Ruhama. The trustees are the Sisters of Our Lady of Charity and the Good Shepherd Sisters. With Vatican II and Modernism, I have no idea of how liberal these orders are now. Both maintained Magdalen Asylums so often these orders come in for criticism. The 'Magdalene Laundries' is used as a stick to beat these orders.

Is the Legion of Mary still active in the "wayward girls" apostolate?

I recall reading about their founder, Mr. Duff's success in breaking-up these operations.

The Legion of Mary is a powerful apostolate, unfortunately a malnourished one,
in the neoSSPX, as demonstrated by the loss of Father Libietis. (had to get that sucker punch in).

  • FInd out who has the deed.  IF the Landlord is NOT the owner, get the owner.  Does the owner have knowledge and if not, let the owner know how the home is being used and abused.

We had a drug house in our neighborhood and they trashed the home in the front, garbaged never moved and such.  So, we got a hold of the owner and just told them straight forward that their home would not be worth a cent if they did not get those trashy   people out and within 48 hours, they were gone!

  • These sex trafficking gangsters need to rounded up and executed with a bullet to the back of each of their heads. They are the lowliest sort of human scuм because they steal these girls when they are children and force them into this horrendous trade. They deserve no mercy by legitimate authorities.
