There "pope" doesn't even think one needs to live a "good moral life".  One can be a committed abortionist, adulterer, or sodomite...as long as one is nice, is good to the "poor and marginalized" (whatever that means), and is environmentally responsible (and most of this is probably negotiable depending on when he's talking) and one can get to heaven.
Very good point, and that is also exactly what the world believes, what EVERYONE believes today, through mass media brainwashing (the devil).  The Vatican II religion is lock step with the media assisting souls to hell.

10And in all seduction of iniquity to them that perish; because they receive not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.  11Therefore God shall send them the operation of error, to believe lying: 12That all may be judged who have not believed the truth, but have consented to iniquity. (2 Thes 2)
And in all seduction of iniquity to them that perish; because they receive not the love of the truth (because they would not listen to the truth even if God brought one of their relatives back from the dead to tell them the truth) , that they might be saved.  11Therefore God shall send them the operation of error (the Vatican II church), to believe lying: 12That all may be judged who have not believed the truth, but have consented to iniquity. (2 Thes 2)

I say that the Vatican II church assists souls to hell because it does not send them to hell, they send themselves. The Vatican II church assists them on their path by telling them that they are good where they are, in whatever sin.

13You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt lose its savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is good for nothing any more but to be cast out, and to be trodden on by men (Mat 5)

If your priest is not yelling these things from the roof tops that we are barely scratching the surface here, he has lost his savor, he has lost the very purpose for which he was put on this earth, he is good for nothing!

St. John Chrysostom, sometime Patriarch of Constantinople:

“I do not speak rashly, but as I feel and think, I do not think that many priests are saved but that those that perish are far more numerous. The reason is that the office requires a great soul. For there are many things to make a priest swerve from rectitude, and he requires great vigilance on every side. Do you not perceive how many qualities a bishop must have that he may be apt to teach; patient towards the wicked, firm and faithful in teaching the Word? How many difficulties therein.

Moreover the loss of others is imputed to him. I need say no more. If but one dies without baptism, does it not entirely endanger his salvation? For the loss of one soul is so great an evil as no man can understand. If the salvation of one soul is of such importance that, for its sake, the Son of God became man and suffered so much, think of the penalty the loss of one soul will entail”. (Third Homily, Acts of the Apostles)

What does this have to do with "Catholic Living in the Modern World" if anything it should be in the Crisis Forum.

In Ireland protestant sects including those from Brasil are quite active. A few days ago a young novus ordo priest was saying that the Catholics of Ireland need to be more active and vocal in the defence of the faith.

I reading this earlier from another forum quite hostile to Cath Info. Ironically many who find the views of Cath Info 'extreme' are wising up regarding the novus ordo Bishops and the general crisis. The tragedy is years too late. An interesting snippet regarding Ireland.

It seems we now live in a land where a minority, willing to shout loudly in the public forum, can determine the future shape of key sections of our society. The worry, in such a society, is what now (if no longer the Christian/Catholic ethos) is motivating those few who are shaping our society now? They too will, in future, be called to task for the consequences of their tenure as the self-appointed guardians of Irish society.

Dr. Boylan has had to work under the ethos of Catholic hospitals in the past, and his continuing public utterances are doing nothing to counter the perception that this is driven by nothing more than base vindictiveness and his own controlling ideology (i.e. the nuns must be removed from any controlling representation at all costs, and the medical professional given that control.)

What is it, one has to ask, that was so awful about the nun's ethos, so deleterious to Irish healthcare in the past, and yet will be so superior in the hands of current/future medical professionals alone?

Future generations, unfortunately, will now have to personally discover the answer to that.
