I think a small resolution like "celebrate Advent" would be excellent.

That would actually be pretty hard, considering that most people are decorating, getting all sentimental, listening to Christmas music, shopping, etc. -- hard to prepare well for Christmas that way.

Part of celebrating Advent is giving up Christmas music until as close to Christmas as possible
