Catholic planning for the next generation

The results of a survey published last year stated that in Ireland "in 1980 1,451 babies born had six siblings, whilst three years ago the figure was just 218."

The President of Dublin City University, Professor Ferdinand Von Prondzynski, also recently made it clear that Irish people will be an ethnic minority in their own homeland by the year 2050. It cannot therefore be considered 'alarmist' to state that any Nation which does not replace itself is doomed to become extinct; and that is our future unless mass immigration is stopped and the Irish people begin to breed.

Those nations with high birth rates are only doing what was natural for all right thinking peoples before the onset of the contraceptive culture that has engulfed the West. I believe, however, that we can reverse the decline in our country if we are prepared to make the necessary sacrifices. Let us, for the sake of argument, look at demographics from a Traditional Catholic and Nationalist viewpoint. What if, instead of using contraception, Nationalists were to leave themselves open to the Will of God and accepted all the children sent by Him?

Imagine, theoretically, that we have forty young married couples supportive of the views that we espouse in this magazine; ie that what matters is the Catholic religion and a Gaelic Nation. Now imagine that these forty families trust God and refuse to limit their family size. Let us assume that God gives each couple eight children. So now we have 320 children, plus the original eighty parents, equalling 400 people. Now supposing that one in every eight has a Religious vocation, and that there is a possibility that out of the 280 children who marry, about 100 keep the views of their parents and wish to emulate them, we then have 230 couples.

Now imagine that this generation has been taught the Faith well and decides to trust in God also. Each family is again, theoretically, blessed with an average of eight children. Hey presto we have 1,840 children! Add to that the 320 of the previous generation plus forty Grandparents (allowing for the possibility that half have passed away) and our original forty couples have become 2,200 people in just two generations!!

In just one more generation using the same percentage, one in eight having a vocation, 500 who keep the Faith and an eight fold blessing from God, would result in 10,880 children, plus 1,840 parents, 160 Grandparents and ten great-grandparents.  This makes a stunning 12,890 people - all from just forty couples!

This is of course not taking into account the numbers of people brought into our ideological circles through the sheer weight of numbers and influence of the above. Ireland is a small country, imagine what an influence these numbers of people could have considering that we have only taken a conservative estimate of an imaginary forty couples and even then allowing for a number of their offspring not following suit.

We should never ignore the evils that are happening today in front of our own eyes and we should fight against them in every way.

At the same time we should not forget the future and the possibilities that exist. Never forget that our enemies are literally a dying breed and their lifestyle means that time is on our side.

In the past we have often failed by concentrating too much on the short-term, let us now plan for a Catholic and Nationalist future.
