Catholic Bishops: Don't Turn Military Hospitals in Abortion Centers

Washington, DC -- The nation's Catholic bishops have a message for members of Congress: don't turn American taxpayer-funded military base hospitals into abortion centers. They are oppose language in a Senate bill that would overturn the ban on abortions at the approximately 250 military base hospitals.

This doesn't make any sense and sounds like one of those nice pious tales to make neo-cons think that the bishops are on the ball. The hospitals in the Archidiocese of Boston were just sold out to the enemy. Not a peep; so why should this upset the bishops about military hospitals? Don't use tax-payers money, just the poor catholic slobs in the pews.

The US has funded contraception and abortions overseas. It would be hypocritical not to do the same at military hospitals. :sheep:
