The Sedevacantists says YES.
It's complicated. There is also the question if these 'Popes' were heretics before they got elected.

We literally have had a succession of half a dozen "popes" whose aim has been to turn Roman Catholicism into another religion and suppress anything resembling Catholicism prior to Vatican II.
What conclusion can you come to other than they have all been invalid?

How crucial / necessary is it to have Apostolic lineage, or succession? What was Pope Paul III referencing is his Indictment, something related to the Council of Trent?

"...For, whereas We saw that peace was needful to free and preserve the commonweal from the many impending dangers, we found all replete with enmities and dissensions; and, above all, the (two) princes, to whom God has entrusted well-nigh the whole direction of events, at enmity with each other. Whereas We deemed it necessary that there should be one fold and one shepherd, for the Lord's flock in order to maintain the Christian religion in its integrity, and to confirm within us the hope of heavenly things; the unity of the Christian name was r..."

Yes.  This question came up with Cardinal Manning and Pius IX and who was to be pope Leo XIII.  When Vatican 1 council was finished 1870, it was to clarify the definitions of Papal Infallibility.  Cardinal Manning has "might" used many times when clarifying Pope taking on the gifts of the Holy Ghost for his position , office.

Cardinal Manning said that nomination and election is infallible(be I don't recall him clarifying this).  Next, can a Pope lose authority in his pontificate and this is where "might" is used.  Might he take the gifts of the Holy Ghost etc.  This can be read in the books of Cardinal Manning.  the True Story of the council. is just one of his many lectures and books.

IMO Pope Pius XI lost his authority.  And it must be said, that if this was to occur, God would make it manifest.

Pope Pius XI knew that Our Lady/God wanted Russia consecrated in 1917 and Sr.Lucia saw a vision in 1929 at TUY.  She was to tell the Pope it was time to do the consecration.  1931 Our Lady was to have said to Sr. Lucia, pope did not heed God's request, therefore he will be like King Louis XIV.  He did not consecrate France to the Sacred Heart.  He was dethroned and beheaded.  So, he lost his authority and when he did, the Church was beheaded.

Now you can look into this.  A pope has free will, and God will make things manifest.  the new order mess, is manifest and those who say it, show themselves to be heretics, correct.  But Cardinal Manning has many books where with the Holy Ghost he explains the Mission of the Holy Ghost.  Very good reads.
