Can someone please tell me...

  • ...if I have sinned or not. I was coming back from my class several minutes ago, and a big poster that has Mass (NOM) times on it was in the way of the hall of my dorm. I put on top of the nearby garbage can, not inside of it, leaving it on there folded loosely. Should I have thrown it away though? Or would that have been wrong since someone went the the trouble of making it, and it is then not my property with which to deal? Did I do enough in not being an accessory in encouraging people to attend the NOM? I am unsure. I have been feeling somewhat scrupulous about this right now. Please someone help!

  • As long as you didn't throw it away or steal it, you're probably ok.

  • I think you kept a good balance -- putting it where no one can see it, but not destroying their property.

It was ok then even if I put poster on top of the trash can folded loosely where someone could see the paper itself but not what the sign says? Someone put it back up though. Should I just not worry about it now in that case then?

EDIT: Now the sign is nowhere to be seen, for I have not see it on the wall now. I should not worry about it or the issue anymore now in that case then?

  • Yes, I would say don't worry about it.
