I've read about a move to split the State of California into three separate States. The maps I've seen on news stories and the accompanying commentary seem to indicate that the only thing that would happen is that there would be one Reliably Republican State, one Reliably Demoncrat State, and one wishy-washy State that could go either way (but things that go either way are usually Democrat.
So, for people who actually know California, what do you think of the plan to split the State and what would be the political demographics of those States?
