To be fair, Central and more inland California - the one part of that state where a middle-class family can actually own a house - is much more conservative than the rest of the state. That's part of the reason why movements to split the state up keep happening.
I've read about a move to split the State of California into three separate States.  The maps I've seen on news stories and the accompanying commentary seem to indicate that the only thing that would happen is that there would be one Reliably Republican State, one Reliably Demoncrat State, and one wishy-washy State that could go either way (but things that go either way are usually Democrat.

So, for people who actually know California, what do you think of the plan to split the State and what would be the political demographics of those States?

  • My friend from California laughed when I asked him about a split.  He said the topic comes up every 10 years and nothing ever happens.

This time, something did happen.  It's going to be on the California ballot as an initiative.

Since Congress has to approve, however, I don't believe it will pass in the end.  I'm still curious about what Californians on the forum think about it.

  • My favorite Social Psychologist, a former university teacher, is Dave Hodges. Here he interviews Paul Preston, who says the real plan is not just to split California, but to declare California a sanctuary state, and to create cινιℓ ωαr in the U. S. by having California separate from the Union.
It is called Calexit. He says the Calexit people have planned a white genocide, using their cartel allies and MS-13 assets. This unrest will bring in the UN under the Kigali principles and the rebellion will be on. the cινιℓ ωαr will begin in California.
