Interesting that Martin Sheen was (and still is?) a big time NO liberal Catholic while his son Charlie -- I won't even go there.

Yeah, Charlie really fell off the wagon, didn't he?

Martin, ironically, took on his screen name "Sheen" after Archbishop Sheen.  When young, the local Catholic church helped keep his family together, and he borrowed money from a priest to go to New York for acting when his father disapproved.

Agreed. I've often pondered the intentions behind this film too?

It was absolutely prophetic the way it depicted the modernist takeover tactics of religious orders.

"Get the top man and the rest of the Order will follow"

This was the way the Jesuits fell and the other orders... all the way to the SSPX.

The jew producer, Jack Gold, used his script to "telegraph" to us how they'd overturn the Church.
