  • Notice ONCE AGAIN how women -- even when they're "competing with men as one of the boys" in the business world -- virtually always show off more flesh than a man would ever consider.

Both outfits are not unusual in the business world, as most of you know. My wife has a hard time finding any shirts with a top button -- you're supposed to show off a big V of flesh, I guess. For that matter, she has a hard time finding long, modest, feminine skirts -- they're not in much demand these days.

Could you picture a man walking into an office with a big V of his chest showing? It would be ludicrous and inappropriate. SO WHY IS IT APPROPRIATE FOR WOMEN especially if they're trying to convince us that "we're just as good as men -- the only difference between men and women is their 'plumbing'"  Yeah right.

P.S. Women like the one portrayed in the ad repulse me. Whatever "symmetry" (objective beauty) her face possesses is vastly outweighed by her un-feminine dress and bearing. I may have to practice custody of the eyes at times, but women like this pose no challenge to my chastity

  • I've also noticed the demasculization of men and empowerment of women in almost all the commercials or movies. Women are always the ones who are in charge of the situation, are the hero, are more intelligent in almost every ad or film I see. In fact, before I read this post, I was contemplating this fact when I saw a segment of a TV show where a woman was a heroine type and seemed to overpower the men as far as her fearlessness and take charge attitude.

  • I think you're right.

I haven't seen any of the recent TV shows, but I know that there are "professional women" in them since I catch glances of them when I'm visiting family.

The women I've seen in these "crime investigation" etc. shows are certainly capable, in-charge, etc. they want to be "one of the guys" and they succeed with flying colors.

It used to be that a female character would end up in a relationship with a male character -- not anymore. Now women are portrayed as completely independent, not needing men unless they want to have a one-night fling for pleasure or something.

Am I that far off the mark?  I can't really speak with authority on this one, since I'm going by about 10 minutes of passing glances. Maybe someone out there has seen more TV and can verify this?
