Are NO parishes still going to sponsor scout troops? I read that Southern Baptists are going to vote on whether or not to dis-affiliate w/the scouts now that they will accept openly ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ boys into their organization and was just curious what local parishes are doing.

I don't see why anyone would want to be involved with Boy Scouts apart from them inviting sodomites. We visited a troop once years ago. It was full of disrespectful kids, a (male) teacher who had no control over the class, and the topic of the night was about DRUGS! Talk about cigs, pot, and drugs...
I think their manuals have some good ideas like rope tying, and the BSA store sells fun little science kits that boys would find fun but it's not something I would ever bring my son back to. You can buy kits like that from Rainbow Resource.

I seen to remember that there is a Catholic Branch of the
Boy Scouts.
Does anyone remember what they were called?

I remember the Blue Knights boys club but they were not associated w/BSA.
This is a NO alternative to boys scouts link here (http://www.fneexplorers.com/), but I don't know of anything that is done by traditional Catholics.
It's a shame that dad's don't step up and do these things for their sons.
