    • At this point there's really no difference between your average leftist and a satanist in terms of their values.

    • The reality of the situation is that because these groups are registered religions in their states, the Capitol, as a public government building, has to accommodate them per the First Amendment. That is the legal reason as to how they can do this.

    • My initial take on this is the group is looking to garner a little limelight.  Real Luciferians would not advertise the Black Mass, they would do it.  And the things that would have to take place at the Black Mass would probably not be allowed at a public venue.  Is there going to be a recording of the affair?

    First of all, real Satanists just follow Anton LaVey's Church of Satan which is just a combination of Ayn Rand's Objectivism and Ragnard Redbeard's book "Might Is Right." They don't believe in any Bible characters anymore than we believe in Harry Potter characters. When it comes to The Bible, they say "don't buy the bull."

    Their Black Mass is just a parody of the Roman Catholic Mass and they have Black Masses just to get religuous people angry and scared.

    I agree with your assessment of these “Satanists.” Immature, narcissists, wanting attention from the media. The hardcore Satanists do not advertise themselves or stick out in any way. They’re master infiltrators. Nonetheless, to spend tax payers’ money on such a spectacle is evil. It’s robbing the workers of their pay, a sin against justice as well as mocking God. 
    IMHO, the best way to deal with this sort of thing is to do everything possible to make it a huge nothing burger, a flop. Let the city and state lose money on it and the people who show up those those looking for freebies, can’t afford the souvenirs and food court, won’t be invited back, will fade swiftly from the public’s memory.

    I don't know if they'll have freebies, souvenirs or a food court but what they might have is a Consecrated Host...and no trad should be ignoring that!
    Pressure should be put on the proper authorities to cancel this atrocity.  Protests have gotten other black masses cancelled in the past.
    A few years ago one group was even forced to surrender the Host.

    • Where is the outrage on this site against this atrocity?  Topeka is only 30 minutes from St. Mary's.  Are there no members here planning anything to stop this outrage against Our Lord? 
    Has anyone signed the petition to the governor, now with over 31,000 signatures, or organized Holy Hours of Reparation with their priest, or plan to protest in person?
    We are so concerned on this site about politics and who should be allowed to have leading roles at our chapels but I don't see the concern when it comes to fighting against evil that is being shoved in our face.  :facepalm:

    Like most people, I grew up hearing propaganda about the unspeakable cruelty of the Inquisition.
    Regardless of how much truth there is in that I have seen the necessity of such a hammer over the last few years

    • The Satanists and the state should be sued by our bishops. This is an anti Catholic hate group.  Freedom of religion doesn’t include anti Catholic hate groups. 

    Most likely most satanist are from New York too.
