  • Maybe with less people, they will close and sell churches to pay the pope's bills, and victims.

  • We knew this day was coming---sooner or later---the indult for the Latin Mass would be taken away.

Wasn't the indult supposed to be something temporary until the older Catholics that grew-up with the Latin Mass died off?

However, as we know, many young people are coming to Tradition and want the Latin Mass.  I hope and pray they don't return to the NO but seek out the Latin Mass elsewhere (either the Resistance, SSPX, independent, etc.)

Surge, Domine, et dissipentur inimici, et eos qui oderunt te, a facie tua!

    Yes but less prosaic:

  • At some point many will stay home.
Covid was the tipping point.  Many who were attending the NO, who perhaps, would have tried out a Latin Mass, have forsaken church altogether.  They recognized the NO had little to no affect on their lives; that they could be “good people” without it, or, if they were bad people, not going to church for a half year or longer made no difference, so why bother?  Better to sleep in on Sunday, go shopping, play sports, do yard work…
Those few who try returning to the NO from the cancelled TLM will either cease attending or, if religion IS truly important, will stay home alone and do as best they can.  In the few places Mass is available, SSPV, or independent chapels, they may have to bend a bit on various issues in order to save their souls, or give their children SOME CHANCE of saving theirs.  Our Lord Himself queried, when He returns, will He find Faith on the earth?
