  • By publishing this under the auspices of flatearthtrads, doesn't this subtly give the impression that Bishop Williamson supports flat earth?  I think that's wrong.

While the flat earth trads support +Williamson, it may wrongly be implied that it's mutual.

Video opens with:  "Welcome to another video by flatearthtrads."

Maybe if flat-earthers keep hounding +W like he's the fox they're hunting in a fox hunt, he'll cave in and abandon all the evidence of his senses. Maybe they can win him over to their nonsense agenda by treating him like a hunted animal.
    .
After all, if flat-earthers were the target of a pack of hound dogs they'd probably be eager to throw in the towel.

  • Matthew will move this thread to the ghetto in 3....2.....1

I'm a flat earther and even I do not agree with what they did here: it's dishonest.

You can post a +W video if you like him, but no intro is needed.

In fact, this will have a very negative effect: it will force +W to come out with a public statement against flat earth. What a shame.

We are the target of a pack of hounds.

  • The video is classic Bishop Williamson. It seems to have been recorded about 20 years ago.

The OP doesn't seem to be making a claim that the video is about the flat earth. The correlation that I can see between flat earth, and the info given in the video, is that both flat earther's and +W are concerned with the de-natured aspect of what has happened in society today, even though flat earthers and +W go about describing the problem from two different perspectives.

Bishop Williamson doesn't go into the scientific aspect of the problems with modern man (as flat earthers generally do) but I think that the problem of modern man today is something that +W and flat earthers have in common. Of course +W doesn't mention the shape of the earth at all, but rather he gives a good overview of the lack of common sense in mankind today. That's something that flat earthers are concerned with as well.
"It is licit to resist a Sovereign Pontiff who is trying to destroy the Church. I say it is licit to resist him in not following his orders and in preventing the execution of his will. It is not licit to Judge him, to punish him, or to depose him, for these are acts proper to a superior."

  • Ladislaus is correct and saw thru the post immediately.

    It's not "clever."

    It forces +W to disavow.

    Well done.

  • Well I liked the conference. Bishop Williamson is excellent.
Eclipses neither prove nor disprove the flat earth.
