Friends, I am not trying to sound condescending, but what kind of spiritual fruit would you expect from people who are not, would not be and do not pretend to care about being faithful to Our Lord and His holy Church?

Don't even bother hunting through the trash of popular culture for your 'entertainment'. I am a musician myself, and, believe me, there is GREAT joy in singing and listening to music that is intentionally offered to our God and in honor of Our Lady and the saints. You don't need to risk getting hypnotized by Satan through the filthy music (so-called) of those who refuse the grace of God in Our Lord Jesus Christ.

I will pray daily for all here. May we all find every satisfaction in pursuing sanctity and refusing the siren's song of the enemy and his children.

St. Cecilia, lover of music and of Our Lord, pray that we would 'make melody in our hearts' unto the Holy Trinity.

Immaculate Heart of Mary, triumph soon!

Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us.

"She's Got a Way" isn't that bad.

The problem is it is outrageous sacriligious "music" that offends God. This should matter to everybody.

Ah, it is a lot more than "Only the Good Die Young"

Consider his biggest album "The Stranger" (where the aforemention "Only  the Good Die Young" is found.

Note that it's his "greatest" and biggest selling album, then consider the title track, "The Stranger" itself.

At first verse or two it sounds as if "The Stranger" is the concept that we all "put on a face" and hide our darker natures (a mere observation of the human condition),  then "the stranger" is the "other man", his lover's paramour, but then  the song finally reveals its true colors in the last verse, abrubtly, the  song morphs into who "The Stranger" really is, almost non-seqitur, this makes the entire song about  hidden dark natures and evil deeds 'make sense'. Who is Billy Joel's "Stranger" you ask? See for yourself in the  final  verse:

Quote
You may never understand How the stranger is inspired But he isn't always evil And he is not always wrong Though you drown in good intentions You will never quench the fire You'll give in to your desire When the stranger comes along.

I think this "stranger" is no stranger to Billy  Joel.
