  • I hope this link works!  This is very shocking!

OK to have abortions, but not a miscarriage.  Insane!

  • That makes absolutely no sense.  Miscarriages happen for many reasons and are generally natural.  The woman's body may not be ready to carry a child, who knows.  Sounds like a political ploy to me but what isn't anymore.

  • I looked at the video, which is very unusual for me to do..

What is there to learn in 'news reporting' such as this? A total waste of time.

  •   Miscarriage is like burying the dead.
    Abortion is causing the death.
      Who can compare them?????
Does it mean that people who lose their children in accidents or illnesses are equal to those who kill their children? Because miscarriage usually happens when a virus enters a woman's body or because of some accident.

Emerantia, your link does not work but I think you are mistaken.

The Bill bans all abortion and would investigate miscarriages to see if they were deliberately induced. (ie to make sure they were not criminal abortions)

Miscarriages used to be called abortions, what we call abortion now was called criminal abortion in the past.

  • You can read the actual bill here: http://www.legis.ga.gov/Legislation/20112012/108128.pdf

It begins, "A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT To amend the Official Code of Georgia Annotated so as to provide that penatal murder shall be unlawful in all events and to remove numerous references to such procedures..."

From Article 5 "The State of Georgia has the duty to protect all innocent life from the moment of conception until natural death. We know that life begins at conception.  After nearly four decades of legal human prenatal murder, it is now abundantly clear that this practice has negatively impacted the people of this state in many ways..."

"'Prenatal murder' means the intentional removal of a fetus from a woman with an intention other than to produce a live birth or to remove a dead fetus..."

The link works fine, Tele.  Select the video on the left hand side of the screen.

I was just reporting what I saw.
If  the  proposed law means that women should get death for an induced miscarriage, thats a different story.  You know how the mainstream media distorts things.  Should have researched it.
    Thanks!
