I don't know if any of you read up about any of this, but apparently Bill Gates is going to/ or has / blocked out the sun in the sky . They were even making fun of it on the Simpsons .
Do you think this is related to the apocalypse, the sun will turn black .
Do you also think it might be to disguise Jesus coming as a blazing glorified light and people will assume it's the sun?

What a load of crock.

For the 100th time .... NO. One of these days, I'm going to answer, "Absolutely. ... now shut up already."
Our Lord will not be returning in disguise.
Our Lord Himself addressed this nonsense when He said that when He returned, it won't be a question of "here He is" or "there He is," but it'll be like lightning across the skies.
Your constant obsession with whether Our Lord has snuck back in and you're damned has become an utterly bizarre psychological problem.
People have answer you dozens of time, and yet you keep posting the same stuff.
Stop worrying about being lost. If you're lost (in the matter that you claim), then you're lost, and there's nothing you can do about it ... so carry on with your life now.

What a load of crock.
This is about his 50th attempt to answer the same basic question. He won't accept what others have repeatedly posted, and yet he keeps posting the same question ... with slightly different twists (this time the Bill Gates angle).

No, blocking out the Sun -a completely absurd thing- won't hide the second coming of Jesus. When Jesus comes it will be evident to everyone:
For as lightning cometh out of the east, and appeareth even into the west: so shall the coming of the Son of man be." (Mat 24:27)

Thank you, Charles Taze Russell, founder of the Jehovah's Witnesses and perennial "guy who predicts the apocalypse date and fails, so he just moves it back a year". I'm sure this was very helpful.

The lightening quote and shine quote is about how he will appear as his glorious return.
The transfigured Christ, where he shines like the son.
If he comes as a theif at a time no one is expecting, why does Daniel 12 count the days till the end of the antichrist reign.
He clearly comes and is not recognised

Ok, so you've made up your mind. Why do you keep pestering everyone?
Are you a Protestant? Catholics actually use the interpretations of Scripture given us by the Church and by the Church Fathers. By coming like a thief in the night is a reference to where we can die at any time and must be prepared.
There's no indication that there's a thief who sneaks into our home and then lurks there for a long time stalking us.
This notion of yours is absolutely and utterly absurd.
-
Xavier were you that one account obsessed with the Rapture in the anon forum last week? Certainly, you two act the same.
Your brand of Catholicism is the same: Protestantism with a thin Catholic veneer. Ironic because the Rapture types often see Catholics as not Christian and "in need of the Gospel", but it's how it is.

Matthew 12:38-40
38 Some of the scribes and Pharisees then responded. They said, “Teacher, we want a sign from you.”39 In answer, he said to them,“A wicked and unfaithful generation demands a sign. No sign will be given it except the sign of Jonah the prophet. 40 Just as Jonah was in the stomach of a whalefor three days and three nights,so will the Son of Man be in the heart of the earthfor three days and three nights.

   Our Lord was speaking about His death, burial, and resurrection, not the second coming.
Ver. 38. We would see a sign. They wanted to see some new and unusual miracles. They wished, says St. Jerome, either that he would call down fire from heaven, like Elias; or, like Samuel, cause it to rain, to thunder and lighten in summer, contrary to the nature of the country. (Menochius) — That they might be assured he was sent by God, and acted by his Spirit.
Ver. 39. Sign of Jonas. I will give no other sign than my death and resurrection, as then, though unwillingly, they will acknowledge me, and people will believe and be converted: so in John (Chap. viii.) it is said, When you shall have exalted the Son of man, then you shall know that I am he. (Menochius)
Ver. 40. In the whale’s belly.[4] The word signifies a great fish, and was not perhaps that which we commonly call a whale. In the prophet Jonas, it is called, a great fish. — Three days and three nights; not three whole days and three nights, but part of three natural days, from which, in common computation, the nights used not to be separated. We have an instance of this, Esther iv. 16, where the Jєωs were ordered to fast with her three days, and three nights: and yet (Chap. v, ver. 1) Esther, after part of three days, went to the king. — In the heart of the earth: by which is signified, Christ’s descent into hell; as St. Paul says (Ephesians iv. 9.) that he descended into the inferior parts of the earth, and this cannot be understood of the grave only. (Witham) — Jesus Christ expired on the cross about the ninth hour, or 3 p.m. when the general and supernatural darkness that covered the earth, may be counted for the first night, and the light which again appeared, for the term of the first day. (Bible de Vence) — As Jonas was a sign to the Ninivites, so is Christ to the Jєωs; for as he by the prodigy of remaining so long in the fish’s belly, and afterwards coming forth alive, gave such authority to his preaching, that the Ninivites were converted; so Christ, by his death and resurrection on the third day, shall shew that he is the true Christ, and this generation shall acknowledge him for the Messias. (Menochius)

I'm pretty sure that scripture is about end times and the Jews recognising Jesus as their Messiah during the three year antichrist period

What do you base that on, Xavier?

Just trying to give the thread a more appropriate name.

OK, fine. Have it you way. Jesus is hanging out somewhere in the Middle East, Confessions are invalid, and you're certainly damned. So what's the point of continuing to post this same thing about 10x per year?
So you took Our Lord's words about 3 days and used that to assert that he'd be here for 3 years?

Our Lord says that He'll be "in the heart of the earth" for 3 DAYS and 3 NIGHTS (aka in the tomb).
Somehow you managed to twist this into Jesus being squirreled away in a cave somewhere for 3 YEARS.

But man, can't you see that it refers to the death and resurrection of Jesus?
We say this in the Creed:
and rose again on the third day
That's what it refers to. It's a basic dogma of our fait.
You have written the same thing in at least 3 forums, and in all three you have been told the same thing: Jesus isn't the Sun, Jesus hasn't returned, the confession is still valid, the sins are still forgiven.

What do Bill Gates and the Second Coming have in common?
Why is he out of all people blocking the sun? Grow up, and stop listening to these kooks and bad people. They're poisoning your mind.

Find something productive to fill your time. Don’t you have a family to care for?

Jesus wasn't in the tomb for three days and three nights , but only two nights - Friday and Saturday

Jesus wasn't in the tomb for three days and three nights , but only two nights - Friday and Saturday
Oh, for crying out loud. Apart from the fact that he obviously did not say three YEARS (what does 3 DAYS AND NIGHTS mean if you interpret this as years), please see the note in the CATHOLIC Bible about this passage. Friday (night), Saturday (night), Sunday (while it was still dark, aka night).
[40] "Three days": Not complete days and nights; but part of three days, and three nights taken according to the way that the Hebrews counted their days and nights, viz., from evening to evening.

Xavier, I want you to do me a huge favor: Get off the internet for at least a month.
