    • Greetings Old Friends,

    I'd like to alert you, in case you pass through there, that Vox is currently conducting a purge at the Fish Eaters forum. It's a characteristically tyrannical purge, and is therefore being carried out with little rhyme or reason. If one must identify its predominant engine, one might say that it's being done in the name of one of today's defining features: militant mediocrity. So if you go there, be sure to behave as blandly as possible. Let this be your mantra: "Maximum banality, maximum banality, maximum banality, maximum banality...." Just a heads up.

    • I noticed Alaric was banned all of a sudden.  Maybe I just never read or recognized anything from him that was "controversial."  A lot of people liked his posts, from what I gather.  

    Scipio, I could understand.  He was always difficult to deal with, and antagonized everyone.

    Yes it was very sudden and for some minor "infraction" months ago in a thread where some Zionist leaning poster got his way and ticked me off enough to call him one of the "forbidden" names I guess. And no, it wasn't a vulgar or racial slur, but bad enough for vox appearntly to ban me after about 5 years of posting without warning.

    FE isn't the same place it once was seems hitgirl and her merry band of harpies and yentas don't have much tolerance for straight white males these days.

    Anyway if I seem jaded somewhat maybe I am, but not too much, no suprise really.

    FE is run by women and women by nature are unpredictable.

    Hey-hey!  It's Alaric!  I was wondering if I was ever gonna hear from you again.  Didn't know you were a cathinfo member as well!  

    I forget how I found my way here.  I currently participate on both forums.  Admittedly, I participate on FE more than cathinfo, but you know what they say about old habits.  I've definitely noticed a change there, but I don't really post anything controversial enough to start a problem.

    But another place where I also post has turned into a cluster of severe argument.  I sometimes will post a little on that Vox Day blog I talk about.  And last time I tried discussing the Catholic Church in the Middle Ages, I got into a serious confrontation with the moderator there.  She is a severe you-know-what.  Sad, because I used to be such a fan of that blog.  Her husband is the one who posts there, actually; but she is a complete nαzι about how the comments section goes.  Kinda turns me off on that whole blog.  I talk about it in a recent post, here on Cathinfo.  

    Well, gotta get back to work.  Downtime is over for me, here at the job.  Take it easy, man.  And, you know where to find me.
