I've seen older ladies sometimes wear trousers, especially in the winter months. Younger ones are rarer.
Whenever I do see a young lady in trousers, I always hope that no one takes it upon him or herself to "have a word" with her.
Don't be too judgemental, Clare. You should instead hope that the young lady has the right thoughts in her heart to compensate for her wanton lack of modesty.
I have seen three women at my St Louis SSPX chapel wear pants. One was an EMT who just got off work, the other was a one time visitor (really, if being told to not wear pants turns people away from Our Lord, our own Lord had hard words about those type of people), and the other was a young teenage girl who had such an ephemereal spiritual beauty to match her actual physical beauty that I suspect she was travelling and that pants were convenient. They were denim and loose in a bespoke throwback style as if made in the late 1940's. Even though wearing jeans, her countenance was very serene so clearly there would be no offense taken.
Three women over a several year span of going every Sunday and holy day of obligation and all three were wearing head scarfs and only one had what could be deemed an insolent look in her eyes.
