  • Where can I get blessed bees wax candles and Holy Water?
Can I buy them over the internet?

Also can water be blessed over the internet or via skype? If not why not?

    Desperate times, desperate measures.

I'm almost certain it cannot be blessed via internet/ skype. Just like confession. The priest must be there physically, as he is required to be physically there in front of the water to bless it; he cannot do it virtually .

  • Does any reputable merchant sell it already blessed over the internet...the water and the beeswax.?

    Thanks for your answer.

I tried to find if there were any instances of distance blessings but it seems that the blessing of water is a ritual and is performed by the priest and it is different from the blessing of objects. I didn't know this. Is this right? Can you check this here and see if it is Catholic?

  • You can get blessed water from any holy water font in a Catholic church.

The holy water blessed by a traditional priest in the traditional rite is more efficacious than the holy water blessed in the N.O. newer form because the new rite does not use the exorcism prayers in the blessing.

Beeswax candles can be purchased over the internet and then you can have the priest bless it.

    You should be careful about buying previously blessed sacramentals, there being two reasons for this;

    A) if you pay full value for the object, but without any extra charge for the blessing, it loses it's blessing.

    B) if you pay extra for the blessing, you are in fact committing Simony.

As B is a mortal sin -thus not an option-, A would be your only recourse. As you would have to get it blessed any ways, you really are back to square one. So no, you can't buy blessed objects.

  • Here's a side by side comparison between the Book of Blessings and the Roman Ritual.

  • It's a case of where, it's not a matter of the rite of ordination, but rather more like the changes in the very concept of 'blessing' between the two books.

I've heard of A before, it's been said by Fr. Z, but haven't seen convincing evidence that it is actually the case yet.

Avoid the holy water from the Novus Ordo, since you need a valid priest to bless the water, and there exists doubt as to the validity in the new rite of ordination.

That would only be the opinion of a sedevacantist, Darcy, so if you are not one then you can get holy water from a N.O. Although water blessed in the traditional rite would be better for the reason I mentioned.

I've heard that from multiple priests actually, both N.O. and Traditionalist.

If I remember correctly it is a form of sacrilege since it is a misuse of something holy.

    What doctrine covers this?

What if a Traditional Church sends me some blessed beeswax candles, blessed specifically for me. I pay for the S&H and a seperate honorarium/donation to the Church at some later time?

If I purchase the candles myself...can you recommend a reliable vendor or should I just use Amazon?
I will take them to the closest SSPX or Independent Chapel for blessing after Mass. Do I need an appointment? The priests run out of their so fast. I have not seen them stay after and shake hands with the congregation.

I never in my wildest dreams as a younger person could have ever fathomed that the True Church would become so inaccesible.

I want my Catholic Church back...in my neighborhood and I want it now and death to the commies who took it away from me!

Thank you all for your contributions.

I have thought a lot about it and I do not think that burning at the stake is that painful. The smoke may knock you out first but after the superficial pain fibers are burned there is no pain until the healing process which is not going to happen if you are burned at the stake.
