People will fear me when I have a beard. It will become a symbol of the primitive beast that lies subtly hidden within my flesh, and yet is perchance visible in but a glimmer of the prehistoric through the unkept hairs of my young beard.
:detective:
And yay, though it happen to me that my face be beardless, I shall not wallow in pity, for as the night belongs to darkness, it yet hopes in the morn, and tomorrow my face shall be adorned, not with the bareness of the cosmopolitan age, but with a tinge of the wilderness, for how shall we compare the glory of the sky with a cloud to that without, amen, I say, the sky adorned with mystical clouds is greater, for they speak of the glory of what containeth them, thus the face adorned with the beard is mightier, for it speaks of the life in the flesh that containeth it.
Thus someday when, or if I shall obtain the mercy of God, perhaps it shall be as I foresee this thing of the bearded face, and I hope, because it would do well for a bearded face to join amongst those of the brethern of renown who hath mighty beards and who shaved not, nor repented of their life of faith.
God save ye.
