NPR Bad Vibrations: Investigating Sound As TerrorI found this very interesting as there was another thread recently with someone asking about what type of music (secular) people here like. In this article, NPR interviewed this man:
"Steve Goodman... the head of Hyperdub, a London-based record label that has released work by avant-garde electronic artists... Goodman isn't your average label executive. He's a scholar, a lecturer at the University of East London.." In it, it describes the true power of music for harm and terror. Its quite fascinating how these people recognize the power of music as an instrument. Through his studies, Goodman primarily focuses on music as an actual physical weapon. Its mentioned how some of the released prisoners in Guantanamo Bay went on the record as saying the auditory torture was the worst of all.
Of course I was waiting in vain for them to discuss how secular music has a subtle evil effect on people. Goodman stated,
"I'm very aware of the fact that sound — and music — doesn't always create enjoyment and pleasure.."I believe that those who listen to secular music, and think its fine should listen to this and see if you can apply it to the music you listen to and see what a powerful tool music can be for Satan... Its not easy letting go of the music you're used to, but once you realize what it can do to you spiritually, you don't listen to it in the same ways..
