You know, I don't think there is anything to see here.
It's a reference to
unisex clothing. Many baby items are not gender-specific. Onesies would be an example.
The verbiage is inelegant, and
possibly agenda-driven, but otherwise, I'm just not seeing it.
Families who all dress alike are sorely need of an intervention
... just kidding, if that's what they like, I say go for it.
