With the way this is going I wonder how can anybody ever find a potential spouse if they can't find anybody who would do the chaperoning
The OP says that they are teenagers.  I stand by my comment that there need to be chaperones if it's mixed company. I seriously doubt any teenage boy is ready to take on the responsibility of a wife.

Priests do not make good chaperones by the way.
It is not the role of a priest to do chaperoning.

I missed the teenage part, my bad. I doubt if teenagers really want to meet in mixed company since boys and girls rarely share the same interests. And if they're in schools with genders separated (as they should) they probably don't get to be in mixed company much.
