Before you say that's being too negative, here is my answer:

YES, things are so bad right now, that we're simply beyond the point where "rallies" and "marches" will do any good. Those things won't shake anyone or wake anyone up. We need something like a full-on collapse, chastisement at this point -- to force people to put down their phones, video games, TV screens, and other distractions and think for themselves.

The two-party system isn't the answer, and mainstream political activism isn't the answer. That ship has sailed long, long ago.
