  • I ask this question on the forum every now and then. I would like to find new good traditional Catholic websites. What are some good traditional Catholic websites that you visit?

Websites whose owners or writers are traditional Catholics, or good Novus Ordo (an example of good Novus Ordo is E Michael Jones and Culture Wars). I know of some websites, but I would like to find new ones so I can learn more about the world and different Catholic perspectives.
    R.I.P.
Please pray for the repose of my soul.

Thank you for being the first person to respond to my post. I was hoping for more responses with lots of websites. I see you have a short list of sedevacantist websites. I just want to comment on the Introibo blog. I had a disagreement with the man who owns this blog in his comments section a few years ago because he professed belief in the big bang and evolution and I believe in the account recorded in Genesis as history and not "mystical poetry". So I considered him to be a snake (possibly a well meaning snake) and stopped reading his blog. I know many people are fine with those beliefs. But to me that is as bad as talking about our "elder brothers." Some traditions are more important to some people than others and I don't want to be instructed on the Church's tradition by a man who rejects the Church's tradition on Creation.

You know, Matto, I have noticed that. If I am not mistaken, I believe he is a science teacher (could be wrong on that).

Recently, I remember reading a post he made on evolution and Adam and Eve based upon Pius XII's ruling on the matter. It seemed reasonable to me but he did get some backlash in the comments.

When I first came to tradition, I was definitely a young earth creationist. I listened to a lot of Kolbe Creation Center stuff on Sensus Fidelium.

I really don't have a strong opinion on these sorts of matters, but I certainly submit myself to what the Church teaches on this. Maybe when I have some more free time, I can start to look in to big bang/evolution etc more.

  • Everyone has their important issues by which they judge people by and choose their friends and that is one of the biggest ones for me. One of the first things I want to know about a man who claims to be a traditionalist is whether or not he believes in the creation account. It is a shibboleth I use.

  • I would have a longer list than a few (and I don't think mine are SV), except that I keep forgetting to bookmark them, write them down, link them to my email.  I usually run across them when I'm looking for traditional prayer or spirituality.  For example, if one puts in the search engine bar the name of a solidly trad Saint, one often finds info about that saint on a website with other traditional Catholic resources on it.  That's how I usually find them myself:  I'm looking for a special traditional devotion, prayer, or saintly bio, and when I find that, I also find a site devoted to tradition in general.

However, usually such sites are only about that, and don't contain Catholic news or discussion. Traditional Catholic sites tend to divide along two lines:  spirituality and news+discussion.

Sometimes I find Traditional Catholic theology on a spirituality site, but not always.

    Don't know if that helps...
