  • This teacher is a creep, a danger to children’s innocence. Wading River Elementary is supposed to be a great school. It has won all sorts of rewards in different academic disciplines and in integrating subject areas into projects that give students a hands-on approach. They are a showcase school open to the public and parents/other teachers. If they kept the high academic standards and threw out the DEI and 🌈 🏳️‍⚧️ rubbish, they could be excellent, but those sort of people have a disordered need to shove their 💩 down everyone’s throat. They are off the deep end liberal, politically and socially.  The school holds grades 3, 4, and 5 for the entire district. The majority of teachers and nearly all the administrators are long-time entrenched Boomers raking in big money. I know for a fact because my sister and I graduated from high school with some of them!  They fell for the PC, hippie stuff, hook, line, and sinker.
I’m glad it backfired with me! By the time I got to college and discovered I’d be re-re-reading modernist, communist trash like Kant, Locke, Nietzsche, Voltaire, Weber, etc., for my Philosophy of Education, sociology, and poly sci classes, I almost fled, screaming into the woods! But I needed that magic piece of paper in order to teach, in order to make enough money to support myself.
Parents, unless you teach your children yourselves, make very certain you’re monitoring and know what’s going on in your child’s classes, whether they attend public or any other school, even if run by traditional Catholics.

  • I was an assistant to the bus driver, for special needs children. I had a driver, male, hanging up his keys to be a teacher.  I said, good luck.  I might just see you again.  A year later he was back as a bus driver.  As teacher, he told a student to not interrupt him when teaching.  Principal told the teacher, you can be sued for disciplining. (Which is true)

Teachers are "change agents". I knew another teacher, female, who left being a teacher.  Teachers were taught how to "talk" kids out of hitting each other.  Talk takes 20 minutes.  Teachers are not allowed to discipline or touch. That was twenty-five years ago.

    The ways of the world!

  • It's got to be almost a mortal sin at this point to send kids to public school. I guess that is one of the few benefits of not having kids, I don't need to worry about it.
