What you describe, CathMom, sounds like an Indult parish (and I've been at one; I'm not just passing along a rumor)

The chapel I attend has no immodesty as you describe; though a lot of adults have cell phones.

You can't expect people to be un-influenced by the modern world we live in (unfortunately) but in general, SSPX Catholics are more awake than most.

What you describe has been my general understanding of trad Catholics.  I have been surprised sometimes by a few of the young girls.  Generally speaking, though, most people are very modest.  But there is group of young girls that seem to be into fashion and their skirts are often too high and their blouses too low.  Our chapel is SSPX but it is upstate NY, so I guess that makes a difference.  

There are differences within CA -- many of them.
