  • How can we as Catholics live in a modern world?   It feels like I'm being attacked by my family and friends.   It's as if I'm not allowed to be Irish Catholic.
    They are "secular" Catholics.
May God bless you and keep you

  • Well yesterday commodore John Barry was honored and I suggested to wear scapulars and medals and later my own cousin gave me a hard time.  In our conversation he said if hitler wore scapular would be go to heaven.  I think they were upset because I said was bad because Sinn Fein supported abortion and same sex marriage. Then he said that all religions murdered people. That pope pius  XII condoned the h0Ɩ0cαųst.  I insisted that he saved over 800,OOO
People Jєωιѕн people.  My sister she left the Church and said the Blessed Mother ....
Can't repeat it.  Then my friend tells me she is a witch and says don't try to covert her.
Then another friend that I am being brainwashed to hate ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖs.
After today's sermon Mass Confession. and briefly talking to our Pastor I'm better.
My friend from Ireland says I'm obsessed with church and I share only share fun stuff on Internet.

I'm familiar with everything you describe... I hear it from most members of my family on a regular basis.

This is the fruit of diabolical disorientation and the Great Apostasy. And, yes, the AOH and the K of C are apostate groups as well. Avoid them.

Pray for your family's conversion. Persevere. Keep the Faith.

Every one therefore that shall confess me before men, I will also confess him before my Father who is in heaven. But he that shall deny me before men, I will also deny him before my Father who is in heaven. Do not think that I came to send peace upon earth: I came not to send peace, but the sword. For I came to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. I came to set a man at variance: Not that this was the end or design of the coming of our Saviour; but that his coming and his doctrine would have this effect, by reason of the obstinate resistance that many would make, and of their persecuting all such as should adhere to him. And a man' s enemies shall be they of his own household. He that loveth father or mother more than me, is not worthy of me; and he that loveth son or daughter more than me, is not worthy of me. And he that taketh not up his cross, and followeth me, is not worthy of me. He that findeth his life, shall lose it: and he that shall lose his life for me, shall find it.

    St Matthew x:xxxii-xxxix

1- There is no reason why you could not wear a scapular or a religous medal. You don't need your cousin's permission to wear Catholic sacramentals.
2 - If Hitler was truly repentant of his sins there is the chance that he could be in Heaven. The Catholic Church doesn't make declarations that this or that person is in Hell.
3- Sinn Fein isn't the only political party in Ireland.
4- Pope Pius XII did not condone the h0Ɩ0cαųst.
5 -I recommend not getting into arguments with your fallen away relatives. don't pay attention to them when they say nonsense. Love them and pray for them.

It happens to our family too, and what is most appalling to me recently this past summer is an incident when one of the Grandparents' took some of the children out for shopping and lunch as their birthday present.  Since me or my husband were not present, they felt at liberty to shush the children when they started to say "grace before meals" quietly, mind you.  When the children got home, they informed us how absolutely puzzled they were that the GP's were shushing them, they could not understand.  I had to explain to them how now, more than ever, they needed to increase their prayers for them.

Because the Ancient Order of Hibernians has caved in to the Sodomite lobby and the Knights of Columbus are in bed with the Freemasons and apostate "Catholic" politicians. And when called out on this fact in E. Michael Jones' Fidelity magazine over two decades ago, the K of C responded by changing the wording of their membership requirements from "a practicing Catholic" to "a practical Catholic" (whatever the hell that means).

A Traditional Catholic should not be a member of these groups because they are crypto-modernist apostate outfits.

    That's "why not," Poche.

I have always wondered what the difference between being a practical Catholic and a practicing Catholic was.

It's the difference between sense and nonsense; truth and a lie.

Once upon a time a Knight of Columbus had to be a Practicing Catholic - we know what that means: Sunday and Holy Day Obligations, Easter Duty, living according to the teachings of the Church.

"Practical Catholic" means nothing at all. It is a wicked bit of political maneuvering on the part of the K of C to exculpate members who are plainly not Practicing Catholics.

And since the common definition of "Practical" is "of or concerned with the actual doing or use of something rather than with theory and ideas," I would argue that the meaning of this term is "anyone willing to dispense with mere "theories and ideas" like silly Catholic Faith, Dogmas and Morals in order to actually "get things done" politically like any good Americanist heretic would."

    Anathema sit.
