In a trad website there was a picture of 2 seminarians kissing, the website concluded that they were guilty of sodomy!
I wonder if it is sinful for people of the same gender to kiss one an other. It is a costom here in my country, and men embrace, shake hands and kiss when they meet, so do womem, And nobody thinks it is bad.
  Is it really sinful?

That'd be one of those instances where custom does make a difference to the morality of an act, I guess.

No, that is not sinful. Even people in Biblical days practiced that custom. I'm 25% Italian, and I know this is also a custom in Italy, and probably in other Mediterranean countries too.

It all depends on the circuмstances.  If a father kisses his son on the cheek, then it's not sinful (it's still gross in my book).  If two sodomites kiss on the lips, then that would be mortally sinful.

In the Muslim Arab world it is also the custom for males to hold hands as a sign of friendship and affection. Personally, I think it's disgusting - I don't care if it is the custom. Christian Arab men only kiss each other on the cheek, however - like the Europeans do.

Here's former President Bush holding hands and kissing with the king of Saudi Arabia. I'm sure he must have felt very awkward.  :laugh1:
