I don’t know if this was posted before, but Ambrose Moran died on April 13th this year. God willing he repented before his death.

I pray for his soul.

I see he wrote his own obituary.

I pray for his soul.

I see he wrote his own obituary.

I see also that the obituary omits his summer stock gig, circa 2015, where he played a Roman Catholic Bishop at the Boston, Kentucky playhouse.

from the  Obits.

"...We are living proof that the Roman Catholic Church and Greek Orthodox Church can unite because we are united..."

Yes, he must have dictated it or something, and someone wrote this..".We" are: I mean, who else could make such a detailed account. Unless he uses "We" as the Popes use that term , united to all the previous popes etc.

Fr. J. Pfeiffer must have meditated on all this confusion, and the obits remain suspiciously discreet,no?
At the end of the day, "Ambrose" joined the Schismatics, so, we could presume he was one too, but not judging him.  How can one be both Catholic and Orthodox, as per obits??
Our Lord alone judges...
HOPE HE CONVERTED.

... he did appear to be a disturbed individual.  I do believe he was probably a valid priest and bishop ... via some Orthodox line, but I wouldn't risk my salvation on it, that's for sure, since he appeared to be an almost-pathological liar.
