  • It was mentioned on another thread but is a separate event to the recent All-Ireland Rally for Life.

Matthew and MD may be pleased to note that several Cath Info members attended the vigil outside the Irish parliament.

The vigil has continued and a vote on the abortion bill is expected at 2am (GMT)

I can't be in attendance later and travelled home after 10am this morning.

During the evening/early morning between 100/300 people were present and Traditional Catholics (mainly SSPX) were well represented.

SSPX laity were able to tell folk in Dublin via the megaphone that Christ is King. Perhaps some passing will 'Google' later and enquire as to what is the Social Kingship of Christ?

The rosary was recited several times during the night and morning. The more evangelical folk sang songs like 'Bind Us Together'.

There was time for conversation also and tea, water etc etc was provided during the vigil. For some it was the third and final day of their three days of fasting and prayer.

About three pro-abortion supporters decided to camp out also and played profane songs on a guitar. It didn't last long and they went to sleep whilst Catholics continued praying the rosary.

I left the vigil at 10am. There were about 100 people there as I was leaving. It was about 24 degrees at that stage and hot weather in Ireland.
