  • Taking place in Dublin on 1st July. Some in Tradition won't be attending. I feel the rally should be supported. I dislike how they have translated details into Polish whilst there is no leaflet in our native language. A few requests for a leaflet in Irish has been ignored.

I will gladly march with others but if a rapper makes an appearance it is the cue to leave. I left before the speeches two years ago. Rap 'music' is not my scene. The rallies haven't stopped abortion but still it is important for people to be there.

Participants are allowed to bring religious imagery though preference is for official secular placards. There is an opportunity to pray the rosary as you march along. The rally is suitable for families and young children. Those attending should be aware they will face opposition. Shinners, Trots and the usual suspects heckle and jeer.

People can discern if they will attend or not. The organisers should be open to receiving feedback.

  • "Secular" and rappers should be enough to not support or have anything to do with pro life rally.

The best thing to do is go door to door spreading gospel of Jesus.  Talk about the Latin Mass and the holy sacrament of marriage. Teach young people that they should wait for marriage.  Hold a public Rosary for Prolife at another time.  Avoid the "secular" rally.  It is not what it seems.
May God bless you and keep you

The Tyrone County Board is urging all Hibernians in the county to turn up for the massive pro-life rally due to take place in Dublin on July 1st next.
Let there be no doubt that the Ancient Order of Hibernians is firmly on the side of Christ in this matter and we defend Catholic teaching to the hilt.
Foreign billionaires and external vested money interests are not going to turn Ireland into a slaughter house for the killing of unborn Irish children.
This is the great struggle of our time and true Irish Catholic Patriots are called to defend the most defenceless of our citizens--- the unborn.
Our St Joseph's Pro-Life Division and Craobh na nGael will be providing details of bus schedules etc for the event over the coming days.
    Keep the Faith.

Busy Summer ahead for Tyrone A.O.H.

The Tyrone County Board has announced a busy schedule for the summer months. In a statement, the county President thanked members for the formidable work that they have been doing in recent weeks. Gerry McGeough congratulated the Kinturk Division for the success of their recent parade and paid tribute to the Greencastle Molly Maguires for the high profile coverage of the May Rosary Crusade.

He also applauded the tireless efforts of the St Joseph's Pro-Life Division and Craobh na nGael for their fearless Catholic Action campaign of recent weeks. Both Divisions are set to take part in the Rally for Life march in Dublin this July.
He highlighted the endless hard work of our County Secretary who almost single-handed keeps the show on the road.
The President went on to say that the Tyrone Hibernians should brace themselves for a period of exceptional growth later this year. "After the dust of recent months settles, people will see that that's all there really is...dust. The A.O.H. must be in a position to provide true leadership for the people of Tyrone on the basis of loyalty to 'Faith and Fatherland'. Following Hibernian Day in September we can expect to see considerable expansion", he said.
Meanwhile, constant updates on events will appear on our site.

I don't dispute this. Only last evening I was reading a pro-life girls praise for the Taoiseach who legislated for abortion in Ireland. She still intends to attend the pro-life rally on Saturday.
A few years ago I and others were protesting against him whilst other pro-lifers were standing with him inside at the event.
Similar to the time I asked a politician on the street on why did he vote for abortion. He was canvassing. I made a video but deleted it. It transpired those canvassing with him are pro life. I showed my video to friends. I wasn't aware those canvassing with the politician were pro life supporters. You couldn't make it up.

  • I do hope as many people as possible will attend. Apparently a tenor, who performed at the march for life in Britain will sing in Dublin. I assume the rapper won't be making an appearance. Wholesome and suitable music is always needed. Last year in Belfast a few children did some Irish dancing at the end. The rally should have religious hymns, suitable folk songs and classical music.

  • Just home from the most wonderful pro-life march I have ever attended. Some media admitted up to 70,000 took part. At the centre of the city there were a couple of hundred in favour of child-murder screaming, hissing and snarling at the pro-lifers as they passed. Many were hippy types with rings and things all over their faces and dyed colour hair. You know the kind. I could feel Satan as we passed by, many of them behaving as though possessed. But the joy to see so many mothers with young babies, young children, and surprising to me thousands of teenagers, boys and girls, and those in their 20s,30s and on. Add to that a number of priests, monks and a few nuns in full garb marched with the crowd. They were all so full of life and happiness compared to the misery and hatred of the abortionist lobby that I will never forget it. We met many old pro-life friends who defended the unborn from 30 years ago.
Thankfully the pro-life baton has been taken up by new generations.
The media reported on the march adding our new ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ prime minister is to hold a referendum next year to try to bring in unborn baby-killing for many reasons. They will do this under the guise of saving the lives of mothers.

Meanwhile, thank God and say a prayer of thanks for what I experienced today, especially for so many females who are the ones that will conceive, those who really make the decision regarding pro-life for babies.

  • A successful march for certain. On Friday evening I was listening to a talk given by Christy May. I had heard it before but put it on again for a family member.  On Saturday as we marched we found ourselves marching along side Christy with his pro-life placard and his rosary beads.

I travelled  with veterans and those attending a rally for the first time. This year I adopted a tactic with the opponents cassini wrote about. I walked close to them and maintained eye contact. Friends did the same. A few abortion campaigners looked to the ground. Some heads went down.

I kept eye contact with them all. To study the faces of the opponents. A bit like the police line up or identity parade. I walked passed each one slowly. I didn't record them though.

I would broadly agree with the account given by cassini. It was great to have the national anthem. It is nice some non Irish people want to align in the battle. I only realised this morning the rapper made an appearance. A couple of black dudes were rapping for sho yo yo.  Joke and humour aside there was nice opera music and irish dancing.

There was no hiding of religious imagery and God was mentioned as was the rosary. I wouldn't agree in conceding there will be a referendum.

Fair play to those that travelled from the North. Many of us marched with people from Belfast.

Young people could get hurt imitating the characters in RTÉ’s crime drama Love/Hate, a former Dublin gangland criminal told a church youth event last weekend.

Christy May was imprisoned in various levels of the penal system from the age of 10 to 25 and was involved in gangland warfare in Dublin until he found his faith.

He was speaking at the successful ‘Cork Youth Revival’ event last weekend hosted by the Dominicans’ One by One Ministries in conjunction with Youth 2000, NET Ministries and the Legion of Mary, with whom he now volunteers.

I was reminded of a few years ago whilst out with Youth Defence. I was distributing leaflets on street. A girl with green dyed hair and rings in her nose approached. I was certain she was an opponent. Then she asks can she sign the petition against abortion and she took a leaflet. She was firmly pro-life.

  • It was a shame the organisers ignored the National party and those of us serious about the political vehicle that are serious about the faith and our Nation. They appear to have conceded there will be a referendum. At this point I am inclined to believe the right to life of the unborn will be removed as the country is gone to the dogs. A couple of interesting snippets from another forum.

Declan Ganley spoke at the rally. An interesting comment about him on the new forum.

I've always thought that with Libertas we had our chance but we screwed up.  Is it possible that the first time round he was too early, but that there could be a second time?

It is very difficult for a new party to take off in Ireland due to funding rules which favour existing parties.

A stand alone pro life party wont get votes unfortunately but a broader based euro sceptic party with an economic programme aimed at reforming the health service , Gardai and providing proper social housing etc might .

Such a party would also need to have local representatives working for local bread and butter issues. This is an unfortunate necessity in Irish political life.
The single issue of pro-life has brought good people down dead end roads. As the Tip O'Neill said all politics is local. When people were serious about a movement it is years too late. Thousands of people have emigrated and Irish people have been replaced by immigrants. Parts of Dublin and Cork are gone.

Baffling why they are wasting time on Renua. Their leader was 'pro choice' until six months ago. Seems to support exceptions with regard rape and 'fatal fetal abnormaility' and the party hasn't the support of the Irish people.
    Quote
Imagine RENUA lead by Ganley and joined by Ronan Mullen and others. I think there is a relevant section of the political spectrum that is underepresented. Remember that 38% voted against same-sex 'marriage' and almost nobody represent them. A clever politician shouldn't simply search for consensus but rather should give representation to what is already there, waiting. Ganley failed in the past but he still has the charisma of a leader. Is this the right time for different conservative forces to join together? I believe so.
Many on the Nationalist scene are moving to Hungary and the East. Ireland is far from finished but nobody is really serious about a movement. I commend the National party for offering a political vehicle. The faith is far from dead as we saw on Saturday. Certainly interesting days ahead for Ireland.

The pro-life lobby must show they are serious about winning power. In Britain there was the brexit and in the United States Donald Trump won power and is doing great things.

The pro-lifers need to remember the phrase from Tip O'Neill. All politics is local. People vote on local issues.

  • I concur with both of you for the wonderful Rally for Life. I was also in attendance. I especially liked the message from Bernie Smith in regard to praying the Rosary, the huge attendance at the Rally, the mix of both young, middle aged and elderly and the singer was fabulous. I never really worry unduly about the supporters of murder as it has being the same faces year in year out. By the way did both of you notice that horrendous Nell McCafferty has camped firmly with the PBP (People Before Profit - I roared at them why doesn't planned parenthood put babies before profit). I also sprinkled them with Holy Water.

Keep the Faith a chairde - we can win le cunamh Dé this referendum!!

Saturday, 1 July and the Rally For Life came to a close with a beautiful rendition of Nessun Dorma sung by Scottish tenor Martin Aelred, so here he is with a montage of scenes I filmed as part of the 80,000 strong procession that made our way from Parnell Square to Merrion Square.
Those of a certain age will associate Nessun Dorma with Italia '90. In 1990 Ireland got to the quarter finals of the world cup football/soccer final in Italy. Ireland lost to Italy. 27 years on and Ireland has gone to the dogs. As we saw last Saturday there are still those willing to fight.
