Title: Akron / Sulphur Springs CMRI Community?
Post by: Crayolcold on December 22, 2025, 09:27:37 AM
Hello all,

My wife and I have settled on moving to the Mansfield area in Ohio. We were wondering what the community was like at the Sulphur Springs CMRI mission parish Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Specifically, we were wondering if there were other young families there (in my experience with missions, this is rarely the case).

If not, we may make the hour drive to the Akron chapel where we know there are some younger families. Does anyone live in the area or go to one of these Mass centers? Are there any other families that live around Mansfield and make the commute?

Thanks all, this helps a lot with our home search.

I've never been down there, but I imagine it's a super-tiny chapel, and the priest from Akron goes down there, so the Mass schedule will favor Akron most of the time.

We don't live there but I would recommend the Akron chapel as likely having more younger families as it seems to be the more central chapel and has a morning Mass. The other locations seem to only have afternoon/evening Masses.

Father Gregory Drahman (the current priest there) is amazing by the way.  He helped bring my husband into traditional back when he was at Our Lady of the Snows chapel in Colorado.  We actually just got an Christmas postcard in the mail from him today.  😇
