A Habitat for Humanity Store (often called ReStores), where people donate used construction materials, and some built in appliances.  You might find a drawer of the right size ... perhaps have to buy a cabinet with it but their prices are usually cheap.  As has been mentioned you could transplant the front of your old drawer to the new one ... or, do they really need to match? :jester:

This is a good idea too. I already checked Marketplace and Craigslist. I found one quite nearby that looks almost the same as ours, but the overall cabinet is 3" shorter, so I'm guessing the drawer would be just a bit too small.

Do you have anything like the Men’s Shed Association, that started in Australia and is spreading  abroad. Mostly retired tradesmen get together in a workshop and work on individual and group projects. My husband was a member in our last town. They are happy to work on your small needs such as this. They share their skills and have the use of a wide range of equipment. Look up Men’s Shed Association

I see three options

Glue and clamp it. Gorilla glue will do the job.
Buy a pocket hole jig. These are very useful.
I like that custom drawer link. Looks like standard drawer cost about $42.

Depending on how handy you are and if you see value in collecting various tools, I would use this as an excuse to buy tools. Also, a simple woodworking project to give the kids.
Good fixes, have used them successfully. The practice made it a breeze to build kneelers using pocket screws, pretty spiffy.

I'd expect there to be some very helpful woodworker's supply stores in the Houston area.

This sounds petty do-able to me. I was thinking it doesn't even have to live up to the previous use of being opened 25+ times a day as I can switch this drawer with a lesser-used one.
If Matthew's willing to try and fix it, we'll save this offer as Plan B.
Let me know. I’m currently doing a run of maple so it would be easy to add one in

That wouldn't do me any good. I only visit Houston once or twice a year to attend Holy Week at Bp. Z's chapel for example, as it's 3 1/2 hours away, one-way. About 215 miles from me.
