Years ago, the Conciliar archbishop of New York, I forget his name, made a credible threat to close all Catholic hospitals rather than allow one abortion to take place there.  

That was then, this is now.

Conciliar bishops now simply declare that the hospital is no longer Catholic.  The ACLU simply wants to call the bishops' collective bluff.  Unfortunately, the bishops folded the Catholic faith long ago.  By the end of Obama's second term as president (and he will win a second term when the Republicans nominate Romney) there will be lots of Saint this and Saint that hospitals--but none of them will even pretend to be Catholic hospitals (not that they are now).
