  • I too was impressed with the video.....however.....the Remnant severely edited the original....then I wasn't as impressed.
Hope this is the beginning of his journey back.

  • So the remnant gets its material from The Late Show and doctors it. How low can you go? I only watched 4 minutes - that was enough.
Help of Christians, guard our land from assault or inward stain,
Let it be what God has planned, His new Eden where You reign.

  • It is obvious that different people take different views of things. For me, Michael Matt was showing us the time when Catholicism reigned, and this version of it, taken out of a longer video, was a most beautiful rendition of such a time. Springsteen's lyric was a perfect description of family and local Catholicism in the 1940s and 50s, and amazed me in its understanding for one who no longer lives that Catholicism. I found his presentation with his piano playing as beautiful as a prayer. Had I wanted to do what the Remnant did, I too would edit out the negative parts not necessary to get the point across.

The subtitles in between pointed to Vatican II as the destroyer of this lifestyle. This is so true, for I lived through such a transition of families and society from a Catholic one to an anti-Catholic one. Obviously not all think the same way. Interesting how one finds a positive Catholic message in something and another cannot, indeed sometimes quite the opposite, one finds the Devil in it. I suppose it all depends what one is looking for.

Well said. I liked the video because it shows how much we have lost. Also, how many souls have been lost, not because they left the Church, but rather the Church left them?

  • This from a man who left his wife to "marry" his girlfriend.
