The local AOH chapter here in the US (along with all the other chapters across the US) has the motto/goal of "26 + 2 = 1".  In other words, they want a united ireland.  26 counties in Ireland, plus 2 from Northern Ireland = 1 United Ireland.

I was just curious if 1) such an idea is being pushed in Ireland  2) If "real" irish care about this goal  3) how politically charged this issue is.

It is dawning on many people that many pushing for the United Ireland are not the real deal. Today yet another elected representative of the party led by Gerry Adams resigned. A councillor at local government level. Earlier in the week one of their Senators resigned. They are resigning because of 'bullying' and a 'toxic atmosphere' in the party. Some are uneasy about the push for abortion.
Protestants will never back the United Ireland because of the Shinners (Sinn Fein) support for abortion and 'marriage equality'. Catholics are starting to wise up. Many of the groups opposing them are no better in the attack on the faith.
I would support the United Ireland but perhaps a federal structure where protestant unionists would self govern. We would have a parliament in each province and organise society according to Catholic order.

• Tell them you want Sinn Féin to stop deceiving their constituents by claiming the Party “isn’t in favour of abortion” while supporting abortion-on-demand

I have only now seen your response to my query PV.
Can you explain why they only want 2 counties from Northern Ireland?
