  • So, it's Friday?

What did you have for dinner?

I have some grandchildren staying with me while their parents attend an out of town wedding.  We had cheese pizza, broccoli, and fruit salad.  They were happy about the pizza, not at all happy abut the broccoli, and fairly pleased with the fruit salad.

  • Nothing!  I'm still at work.  Will probably eat can of tuna fish with rye toast crackers, say some prayers and go to bed.  Bye!
St. Francis Xavier threw a Crucifix into the sea, at once calming the waves.  Upon reaching the shore, the Crucifix was returned to him by a crab with a curious cross pattern on its shell.

  • We'll be having pizza too. Cheese and black olives ... a couple of the kids like it, the others will have fish sticks.

  • I usually have pizza on Friday as well.
Please ignore ALL of my posts. I was naive during my time posting on this forum and didn’t know any better. I retract and deeply regret any and all uncharitable or erroneous statements I ever made here.

everyone under age 8 had fish sticks, milk, macaroni and cheese.

aaaand everyone else had seared tuna steak with lemon, vinegar, and garlic. We also had some very dark chocolate which my sister-in-law bought for me.

I am afraid Mrs. Moderator beat you to it.  Shrimp spring rolls are among my favorite foods.  Shrimp anything, really.

Now, now, that is hardly penitential...

  • Cup of black coffee for breakfast and lunch. Kids ate there meals, butno meat oobviously. We eat after we come back from the Solemn High Mass tonight. Kids like it because we do it every first Friday. Spaghetti with homemade marinara, green salad and garlic bread.

  • Two eggs over-easy (with hot sauce) for breakfast, tuna fish sandwich for lunch, tuna fish sandwich for dinner. Hey, I'm very sophisticated!
"This principle is most certain: The non-Christian cannot in any way be Pope. The reason for this is that he cannot be head of what he is not a member. Now, he who is not a Christian is not a member of the Church, and a manifest heretic is not a Christian, as is clearly taught by St. Cyprian, St. Athanasius, St. Augustine, St. Jerome, and others. Therefore, the manifest heretic cannot be Pope." -- St. Robert Bellarmine
