  • A new cathedral dedicated to St. Olav will be consecrated in Trondheim, Norway, in 2017, according to a report in La Croix.

When the current cathedral was built in 1973, there were 500 Catholics in Norway’s third-largest city. There are now 6,000 Catholics there; the majority are Poles, and over a quarter are native Norwegians.

The new cathedral will be located near historic Nidaros Cathedral, which dates from the eleventh century and became a Lutheran church in 1537.

  • I pray that it is not a replica of Our Lady of the Angels in Los Angeles, CA.
I seen a very few examples of true church architecture that lifts the heart
and mind to God and things eternal.
What I have seen looks more than gymnasiums than houses of God.
They can still build a Gothic Church today that would be even better
than those in the middle ages.

  • I saw a photo of the Cathedral.

Looks like a typical grain elevator that you can see by the railroad tracks.
