I mean that if the "Orthodox" Church is a means of salvation, and is in "partial communion" anyway, why not go ahead and "cross over"? Paul VI even "lifted" the excommunication of 1054, so why not !?!?!?!?

By the way, does anybody know what specific branch of orthodoxy he converted to?

He said he went to a beatiful Byzantine or Russian liturgy or something, and he wants to go because his fiance (who he loves very much) likes it and a TLM is too far away or something.

That is ridiculous that he is letting his fiancee who is in the process of converting to Christianity influence him on going to the Traditional Latin Mass or not. If he loves her so much he shouldn't allow her to become an orthodox for the good of her soul. If I remember correctly she was going to be baptized by an SSPX priest and was formerly some type of pagan. I highly doubt she has much knowledge about the different types of churches (Catholic/Orthodox). If the Orthodox liturgy is so beautiful they should seek out an Eastern Catholic Church.
