  • I spent Easter with "conservative" Catholic relatives.  The kids are in Catholic schools.  In describing how Catholic one of their schoolmates was, I was told that "She plans on only marrying someone who is Catholic."  I also found out that the priest who presided at my marriage (when I was a conservative NO Catholic) has left the priesthood!  I don't know why I should have been shocked, but I REALLY was.  The NO Church is so dangerous . . .

I was reminded of a good book - Liberalism is a Sin which can be found here with other great Catholic books for free download.

    http://www.sanctepater.com/2010/05/free-catholic-books.html

    From Liberalism Is a Sin

Liberalism is the dogmatic affirmation of the absolute independence of the individual and of the social reason. Catholicity is the dogma of the absolute subjection of the individual and of the social order to the revealed law of God. One doctrine is the exact antithesis of the other. They are opposites in direct conflict. (Ch. 6).

Protestantism is now a dead dog; Liberalism a living lion going about seeking whom he may devour. Its dreadful doctrine is permeating society to the core; it has become the modern political creed and threatens us with a second revolution, to turn the world over once again to paganism.  (Page 74).

Liberalism is the root of heresy, the tree of evil in whose branches all the harpies of infidelity find ample shelter; it is today the evil of all evils. (Ch. 4).

The theater, literature, public and private morals are all saturated with obscenity and impurity. The result is inevitable; a corrupt generation necessarily begets a revolutionary generation. Liberalism is the program of naturalism. Free-thought begets free morals, or immorality. Restraint is thrown off and a free rein given to the passions. Whoever thinks what he pleases will do what he pleases. Liberalism in the intellectual order is license in the moral order. Disorder in the intellect begets disorder in the heart, and vice-versa. Thus does Liberalism propagate immorality, and immorality Liberalism. (Ch. 26).

Liberalism is, therefore, the radical and universal denial of all divine truth and Christian dogma, the primal type of all heresy, and the supreme rebellion against the authority of God and His Church. As with Lucifer, its maxim is, “I will not serve.” (Ch. 3).

I was brought up in the Novus Ordo. The priest who baptized me also left the priesthood.
    R.I.P.
Please pray for the repose of my soul.

  • My fiancée's priest that baptized him left the priesthood to get married to a parishioners wife whom he had been fooling around with. She divorced her husband to marry the priest. The lady is the secretary at that parish.

The NO is full of these pathetic stories. It's so sad.

  • The priest that married us, sɛҳuąƖly abused altar boys, one being my own cousin.  We have been married for 40 years and we found this info  in the news just this last year.

That's odd.  We had the exact same situation happen in the diocese that I live in except I don't believe the woman was the parish secretary.  I also heard that another priest left the priesthood to get married in another nearby parish.
