What do you all think of the book "A Christmas Carol," and/or it's movie adaptations?

We usually watch a version or two of it during Christmastide.

As with any movie, I don't think you are going to find total perfection. Especially not from a non-Catholic writer. I have not read the book in a very long time, I'm sure there might be criticisms but I don't think there is anything dangerous. The overall morals are pretty good: Repent, you are never too old to repent, do good works as additional penance, etc.

I'm a fan of D ickens because I like how his characters always get their just rewards. We might not always see it it life because we aren't omniscient, but the same thing happens.

It's radio announcers from NYC, with some special guests. Runs about an hour.

It is a wonderful book. I have never seen a really bad movie adaptation, but the black and white one from the 1930's and the Patrick Stewart version are my favorites.
