So the Muslims have sense to make swimming suits that are modest, but they also cover their heads, which I think might be a tad bit overboard, but anyway. Here is a link to what a "burqini" is:

Woah! I found a place where you can design your own modest swimming suit, not as modest as the burqini though.

You can cover your chest more, and put a nice skirt on it. I don't think I can link it here, but if you play around with it, you can make a very nice suit!

Because in those cultures pants are not just for men, unlike in the west where pants are result of feminism, in Countries like Iran and India, pants were historicaly worn by both men and women. (for more clarification look at scottish kilts, are those men wearing skirts?)

I am modest both in the public (where I have to) and at home (because I want so) and I am a convert. Yet I never felt any need to pray for the grace of modesty. We can't do any good without God, but perhaps the grace of modesty is given without asking. Unlike some Catholic women who think that some great awakening and some holy movement of heart are necessary for becoming modest, I think it is just natural. In fact my dress is like my skin to me.

Nice site. I built a decent suit ... even claims it's suitable as maternity wear. Now, if only I had $114. :rolleyes:

I think to pull off the kilt you have to be smeared in blood and charging at someone with an axe, or at least to look as if that might one of your favorite pastimes. You almost have to be exaggeratedly macho. The point of the kilt is to warn your enemies, "I am wearing a dress like a lady, sure, but I can still knock your head clean off your shoulders with one flick of the wrist." It's almost like a challenge.

Back to women's dress. Are you speaking of harem pants, those baggy pants that flare out at the hips, or is that a Hollywood cliche?

You have just opened a can of worms, spouse. Many of the anti-pants crowd are against them not just because of the feminist connotations, but because they say they are form-fitting. You are taking away a major plank from their argumentation.

I would say pants are far more modest than what parents_for_truth just posted. Tennis skirts, pft? Am I looking at the wrong part of the site?

A clarification ... I wouldn't wear any of the swim suits posted in public, but I have been needing to look for something to wear in my dad's backyard pool. Most swim suits I don't think I'd wear even if it were just me there!
