Title: 6 year old asks when is her Saint day - on her Saint day!
Post by: Matthew on March 13, 2019, 09:13:23 AM
Our six year old daughter asked my wife yesterday (March 12) if there was a "Sera feast day". (Each of our children has 2 saint names, and we point out and celebrate those saints' feast days with an extra treat or so.)

Her name is Seraphina. This is one of those saints that isn't on the 1962 Calendar, so it's easy to forget the date.

Well, it turns out, St. Seraphina's feast day is March 12th. How did she know? Did her guardian angel and/or St. Seraphina have something to do with this?

"Out of the mouth of infants and sucklings thou hast perfected praise."

Sera is the girl on the right. The other is her little sister, who looks just like her.

I never even knew there was a St. Seraphina. Thanks for the cute little story and the bit of education on our Saints.
