I know many say leche for milk around here.  Where are you from?  

We’re only with our first so we don’t know if this varies by child.

She says “dida” and “chita” when asking for milk because we say “lechita,” which means “milk” in Spanish (but is a diminutive like “milky”) when referring to milk.

I think our boys had other names for milk at first because they had a hard time saying the word.  But...  I can't remember now what they said... 😅

I do remember one family we know had children who said something like "Nuk nuk."

So, yes, totally normal.  

I had a teacher who jokingly called it cow juice. As children, it wasn’t anything but milk in our family.

This reminds me of how when we started getting raw milk shares when I was a teenager my mother used to call it "liquid gold".
