Thanks Emile, this is good stuff to know. The key is to totally disable the person and run away. That means eye gouges, throat strikes, instep stomps, groin grabs .... and then run away.

Of course THE most important thing to do is avoid places that have dangerous people, do not live there.

I think that as society continues to disintegrate we are all likely to need skills that many people wouldn't have even had to think about a few years or a few decades ago.

A few months ago someone tried to carjack my cousin. She was able to maneuver her vehicle enough to escape unharmed.
A few weeks ago I was in a small town and witnessed an attempted murder in broad daylight (drug related, I'm sure). The guy emptied an entire clip and never even nicked his intended victim. You can't even get competent thugs anymore. ;)
